I got one from Taiwan (violet), the / s letter brought about 33MByte / s read and 17MByte (AS SSD benchmark) and a blue from China, brought only 6 MB / s reading and writing.
Although both rates were significantly lower than the measurements of the chip, I sent back only the blue, because for the price (about 10-13 EU) performance when violet is still okay. I got a second violet as a substitute, who came back from Taiwan and the same rate applied to the first violet.
Conclusion: three points to get for gambling, either a slow or a very slow drive. with 33/17 MB / s (read / write), you can still live in terms of the price, but 6 MB / s (read / write) is underground and leads the USB3 connection absurdity.
