It should be suitable for Apple product users, but I do not therefore part of my judgment will only address the use AirPlay off.
Important: If you are looking for a portable speaker to play music from your phone or tablet, go your way, this is not the target of this product. Turn to Bluetooth and WiFi solutions not.
The heart of the problem is _have_ software to use to stream music on this HP: SoundTouch the application.
I tested from Windows and from a phone / Android tablet. Nothing exists for Linux (a shame because it is this system that is embedded in the device)
The ergonomics of this application does not please me, it's rough, minimalist and unpleasant to use.
Deezer and Spotify are unusable with free access: you need a Premium account in 2 cases, therefore chargeable.
Since an Android device you can not stream music stored there! This feature is reserved for the Windows application.
So, the only practical and universal way to play music is to own a NAS with a DLNA server, but it will still use the horror of SoundTouch.
One positive point, internet radios. Once selected stations from SoundTouch and associated with one of the 6 preset buttons, the system is autonomous. The list of possible radios is also very comprehensive and has all the major national radio stations.
In short, the system is promising but the obligation to use a proprietary application Bose makes the whole cumbersome and impractical.
It's a pity because it is an open and standard protocol that is used as basis: Upnp. Unfortunately, it was amended by Bose so that it is usable only through its application.
I now have a beautiful internet radio, but at a prohibitive price for this single use.
