One Man Army (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After Unsung Heroes, which has 2 really good songs reached a record minimum in the Ensiferum-Diskoraphie with me, I had feverishly hoped that the next album is more like to sing along again and even more catchy factor has.
According excited I was on this disc:

March of War:
Consistent intro, I personally somewhat monotonous, because I found Ferrum Aeternum or ad Victoriam better. Nevertheless, a nice start. (4 stars)

Axe of Judgement:
Hardly brought by the intro to Scandinavia ballert the first song directly and ruthlessly in Uptime through the speakers.
A strong chorus and lead guitar in the right places to a few choruses, beautiful Breakdown ... Really good food.
(5 Stars)

Heathen horde:
Next go in with a mid-tempo song that has first very reminds me of Unsung Heroes (song). I found this a bit boring
goes Heathen horde but with an ingenious earwig factor forward. Just epic, the refrain with bears strong choir is exactly what I've missed so much, one where you simply can just sing along.
(5 Stars)

One Man Army:
It follows the title track, again at a faster pace. For me, not the point of the album, as it where I find a little hitch in the verses of inventiveness, but the "One Man Army" bawling in chorus makes it almost compensate again. Either way closes the song on the previous terms of the force.
(4 stars)

Burden Of The Fallen:
Oh ... if Ensiferum one can then make nice atmosphere in its quiet between passages and intros.
Campfire Feeling surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Wonderful to briefly shut down a little and relax.
(5 Stars)

Warrior Without A War:
Hymmnenartig occurs the next song. Stylistically, again much more melodic. I do not know why but just here
reminds me simply fit together great with the tunes on the Petris vocals. Definitely hear one of the songs that for 1-2 times
stay in your head.
(5 Stars)

Cry For The Earth Bounds:
The Chorale intro gives a quiet but powerful touch. Then it's difficult to continue in the mid-tempo and what can I say.
Here comes Hymmnenfeeling on but more by the strong choruses. The melody that dominates the song comes in both immensely powerful chorus, as well as in the short intermediate part over very well.
(5 Stars)

Two of Spades:
No more Pounding Northmen roaring their songs. Here comes again clearly by the Melo-Death Metal.
The ever-present lead guitar mixed with some ball ends folk recordings, all in tempo in more party atmosphere
runs through the first 2 minutes. Then the change. In such places, I then think to myself as inclined Zuhöhrer like that that have to have real fun while writing and recording. Sounds that remind me of Another Brick in the Wall and Daddy Cool and then roared in party mood.
(5 Stars)

My Ancestors Blood:
Not that we forget that we hear Ensiferum, so the sword is pressed and marched off into their own hands again.
Here again the verses which are indeed beautiful aggressive, but with missing person since that special something. Stop is just a
something harder song, but ascends with stimmigem Chorus and a pleasant solo.
(4 stars)

Descendants, Defiance, Domination:
The extra long blast may not be missing so. But he also pops? So I think he's definitely diverse than Passion Proof Power.
Again several differentiable parts show up, beginning with a somber almost Western-like intro and quiet after
E-guitar sounds. From 2:33 then changes the feeling, the pace is tightened, melodic well implemented still.
Could smooth the soundtrack for a movie to be. Then singing, sounds like Markus am now but not sure and then let Peter go.
Well and so varied is the song continues also. Is really well and also comes ran to my favorite "The Longest Journey". (5 Stars)

Neito Pohjolan:
The last song of the first CD pushes back before the country-western feeling. Namely, with a female voice. Then the melodies change into something that sounds kind of Russian. Then quiet passages and end up back at the Country. Like well personally me, is a nice ending.
(5 Stars)

Rawhide:
On the second CD - I do not believe wollts first - Bring the Blues Brothers out. Rawhide as Metal Cover, I finds a funny idea,
It reminds me somehow a bit of the CCR cover "Looking out my back door" from Children of Bodom. Whether the suffering now
fits around to vermettalen so ... I'm here disagree, maybe I am, but also steeped as original biased.
(4 stars)

Warmetal:
Pops in here very hard, skin really right on the plaster. Black heavy I'd say. Folk rather rudimentary. Not quite my cup of tea but since divorce indeed the spirits
(3 stars)

Candour of Lies:
Add more folky song until I thought somewhere I know that but her ... yes the instrumental is the same as in Neito Pohjolan
but now sung with male voice and in English. Also all comes across very consistent, because I like both versions.
(5 Stars)

Bonus track:
Another song of the brand "fun recording" And it is well implemented. For me, it closes the album again from really good,
and leaves me in a good mood the disc play on my MP3 player.

What else is there to say ... Unsung Heroes was in my opinion very marked by lack of imagination especially in the 2nd part.
But not the ICHD as album completely bes ***** s was up significantly worse than any previous.
One Man Army puts an end to everything. Should I need it I would say it verlgeichen still resembles most From Afar,
and can compete with the masterpiece, and my personal favorite album also as far as possible.
The Finns have really good rausgehauen again what, I can only recommend the album.
