Love Letter (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Robert Kelly has given gas neatly in the last 12 months. After "Untitled" came "Epic", a sort of greatest hits album with a handful of new tracks. "Untitled" was a nice try to adapt to the new millennium, but did not fit really to him. Too many features, too many styles, too much disco. With "Love Letter", he now returns to its roots, to "R.Kelly" from the nineties. Maybe even back even further. No bedroom stories, no Pimp stories, no insistent Lover posturing, just honest, quiet and warm Soul / RnB in Motown style (the cover already points out). 14 tracks go down as oil and perfectly fit to candlelight and open fire. Many will miss the party joints that made him really famous. But Robert Kelly has recognized that he is older and wants to remain authentic. The bonus track "You Are Not Alone" is actually not really a Michael Jackson cover, because what many do not know, Kelly wrote this song for Michael and pays him now only in his own way his tribute. For 2011, Robert has already announced "Zodiac" next album - we are anxious to see if it is faster. One of the biggest is back with a great work!
