... Stood me up the long-awaited CD of the Stuttgart show. The CD is, contrary to my expectations, an outstanding success. The singers, all of them, the orchestra, as well as the part of Weil's modified text passages are almost perfect. Nevertheless, it must be said that Susan Rigvava-Dumas as Mrs. Danvers simply worlds is better than Pia Douwers. But this should not be understood as a criticism! Pia did their job excellently, but everybody compares it with the original. I believe that every musical star has its own, very special role. For Susan, it is that of Mrs. Danvers, at the Pia Elisabeth. In both roles, the two Divas of musicals are both unbeatable. Yet this is no reason the present total intake to make any deductions. The CD is great succeeded and can be recommended wholeheartedly.
