Of course, it takes a certain kind of temperament in order to transmit these different temperatures on the handset can, and there is a welcome development that have reported the Italians in the second or third generation of the original sound movement. Above all, Giovanni Antonini and his ensemble Il Giardino Armonico, which concern the Vivaldi-time favorite with one of the most fervent readings, full of contrasts, full of subtle nuances. Even those who think they know by heart the songs, be able to make one or another new discovery. So there in the garden of a Giardinos Blütenzauber of surprises: what, where, breaks out of the earth, how familiar mix colors new.
Since you like to past always comes back in the garden, to the presented collection box of various scenes from the years 1991 to 2001 is worth (mind you: the price of a double-CD!) Especially. Their specialties list (like the menu of every good Italian) focuses Native: much Vivaldi (chamber concerts, duo and trio concerts), Neapolitan music in board composition (by Scarlatti and others), a compilation of the most famous baroque Christmas concerts (Corelli, Manfredini and so on, from hearing you know that certainly!) and a wonderful Viaggio Italiana through small, short early masterpieces, an antipasti plate of the choicest variety that makes strong appetite for more.
How much fun it brings, to take advantage of this ensemble to the hand and to be guided by treasure to treasure, I was recently experiencing live again, sitting with an 8 Euro Daises Card, almost between the musicians. Blütenduft close, so to speak. And it was exciting to see exactly how Antoninis dance, springy movement language in conducting and flute transfers directly to his colleagues. From as much vigor the Germans can benefit - and I mean not only the audience but also the composer. Even Antoninis readings of Biber, Bach and his associates can be heard: the Brandenburg Concertos rare -or even the canon of Pachelbel- are so dogmatic, elastic and playful like to hear here.
A good mix of well-known highlights of Baroque culture treasure and rare flowers here so pours upon us, and it remains atmospherically by no means only in the spring. But the 11 1/3 hours of play should probably rich for a while anyway.
