In my experience on to catch babies between the fourth and sixth month of life, for things to be interested in themselves, and also for rattling, rustling, crackling things. Our little one is a rather slender baby, yet the wrist rattles fit (not more).
Conclusion: Quality, design and good idea, implementation deficient as much too small for the appropriate age.
