The 305 mm in diameter measured bass membrane works in Betasub in Downfire arrangement and radiates down toward the ground from. The bass reflex port is located on the front and is very elegant and accuracy embedded on the front panel.
In general, the processing is very good and does not leave any doubts about the quality traffic.
On the back of the sub's is the active unit, in other words "final stage", the magnate Betasub. This offers an RCA input for connection to a corresponding AVR (5.1), an RCA output for connecting a second woofer (passes) and speaker connectors for amplifiers without subwoofer output. To which one can still find a power switch, with which you can turn off the Sub completely or switch to automatic standby mode, a frequency (crossover), as level control and a phase switch.
Magnat is the power of the output stage with (RMS / max) 130/260 watts, a frequency response of 20 - 200Hz so equipped and is ideal for having a lot of power and depth!
The amplifier has a very good, automatic standby circuit which switches on the sub as needed automatically, quickly and virtually inaudible (no typical popping)!
The Sub plays with me exclusively in home cinema operation, so for the bass support for the film and television enjoyment. He does his job absolutely top and leaves it when necessary really deep crack! The sub can build an imposing scenario of low bass pressure and acts never intently, he pushes with casual ease his bass salvos in the listening room, which is a fear and worry, while there is no audible flow noise from the bass reflex tube, at least not to my ears!
As for the music playback, I can confine only to the 5.1 surround mode this even if, for example, AC / DC, Police or Lindenberg, Live Blu-ray enter the best. Here, and with appropriate volume, the Betasub 30A also feels very well and plays with seemingly boundless energy, unrestrained and fires his bass attacks brutally in our living room!
I've been obsessed with the one or the other, powered subwoofer, but the magnate is for me simply the best compromise. It is relatively cheap, the workmanship is very good, the appearance is also very handsome and the most important, it sounds right and the Magnat Betasub 30A is simply fun!
So, Bass, Bässer, Betasub 30A!
