The sound is described, in fact, as in other reviews over the entire frequency response very linear. Unfortunately, even in the bass range (where I would personally have preferred have a bit more than less). My old earphones for the home was the Sony MDR-CD780. This sounds compared more bass and treble-heavy. For testing purposes, I like to take the brilliantly captured Stanley Clarke album "East River Drive". There is a play called "illegal", when the master of almost "illegal" the strings of his acoustic bass (ie no double bass, but virtually a western guitar with bass side) to get you going. This results in severe smacking noises. These bring the Koss without problems and without effort over the Sony, however, sounding in the high range so awful that you have to take this from the top. The extremely deep bass, however, described the Koss is really only appreciated when the headset sits perfectly on the head and there we have unfortunately little room. Actually, one would have to draw the listener with a rubber band around the head, otherwise the bass will come only partly advantage. Therefore, there is of me a point deduction. All in all, a super headphones!
