The battery fits perfectly into the laptop, it is a little larger than the original (4 cells more), but is not recognized by the computer. The charging lamp lights, but Windows 7 says "no battery detected." If I unplug the AC adapter when the battery is in place, everything stops instantly, even after hours of "charge". The battery is not compatible with the computer, or has a defect.
I ended up finding a HP original battery that works when with it properly. My PC is not involved.

I may have fallen on a defective product, so I do not know if I should or not recommended. I'm going back.
