I am a die-Navigon customer, but Navigon has unfortunately acquired by Garmin.
On the Garmin I did not have high expectations (a Garmin used to have with which I was not so happy), but I'm very pleasantly surprised.
The display with its 7 "is huge and legible.
The satellite search is very fast and the route finding is also fixed. What I miss here is the "3-Route option" as I know it from Navigon.
The card itself is very clear and you can choose a variety of designs (in my case the Navigon look). The presentation itself is great, but I feel at times overwhelmed by the POI. (How I have not figured out this off.)
The lane departure warning works well so far and is done sensibly.
The voices I use the default voice, since the voice control functions. If I choose a non-TTS voice come at the voice control no announcements. However, the normal voice is ok, here I can not complain. The announcements come early and appropriately, even if the voice off and "east" to a little sounds (eg sounds street Westring then as WESTLING). However, do not bother me further.
The displays on the navigation are all well so far, but a big drawback (which also leads to 1 star deduction) I think not beautiful, at bottom left is always only the driving speed and this can not be changed. Here I would like to be selected as shown on the button to the right the way the (arrival time, remaining to be traveled kilometers, etc etc). That this is not going to me is incomprehensible, especially not at such a high-priced device.
All in all, the menu very clearly and via Garmin-Express and / or Garmin website can be a lot of additional vehicles (for map display) and even more votes and download more for free.
The big hit is the voice control for me because this is my "expression" can be activated and all important functions (navigation start to address, favorites, stop navigation, display card, and and and) dominated. Just as the Navigon could still in the 70s, before they were bought out and then it was no longer in the 72er upwards. (A rogue who thinks evil of it;))
I can only recommend the Vision for the 5th star is missing according to the lower left, the switchover. With a smaller or niedrigpreisigeren Navi I would give it 5 stars here, at nearly 250, - Euro I lack here somewhat.
Edit / Update: The support I think that's great. The car charger cable is attached directly to the holder, for charging on PC there own. So one must not always the Navi cables umtüteln but it can clamp directly into the holder (which holds bombproof) and you're done!
Addendum 2: Meanwhile, I have also tested the speakerphone: Impeccable. Unlike the old Navigon absolutely super. I hear the interlocutor well and vice versa also. In addition, the telephone function can be operated via voice. Whether you can also call Favorites where I need to retest, I'll adjust the review accordingly then.
Addendum 3: The speakerphone also works with my Nokia 112 (DUAL SIM) wonderful. Outgoing calls go over the first, or the active SIM card, incoming calls are on both SIM cards (the Navi does not differ here).
Addendum 4 (05/03/2015): I have the Navi now almost half a year and am very satisfied. Navigation is reliable and accurate, the calculation is carried out even after long "off-hours" very quickly, as the route calculation even at long distances. Legibility is good and the voice control system is just awesome. In particular, the possibilities to make the display by voice brighter / darker and change the volume are very nice. What I yet looking for: Can the traffic datas also by language?
