Finally, everything is back in the order. Dark Horse has released, this time, a non-limited edition of The Sky, which is much more readily available. However we do not find bonus with this edition.
The Sky is a box of 3 hardback books. The hard case is covered dune kind of silky fabrics with beautiful full impression. This is very thick cardboard and can close the case. The presentation is very nice.
On the inside we thus find three artbooks large format. Volume 1 contains the work FF I to III, Volume 2 contains FF IV to VI and troisème FF VII to X. dillustrations collections cover the period from 1987 to 2001. In total there are 576 pages.
This box however, may not quite match your expectations depending on the Final Fantasy fan you are.
I think he may be a group of fans or designers seeking closer games illustrations. As these artbooks that are often available at the output of each opus. The Sky is not at all like that. It is not a complete list of characters, of enemies, sets (which I always research), weapons, vehicles or promotional dimages.
The emphasis is on character designer Yoshitaka Amano and its work. There are hundreds of characters and dillustrations of enemies in unique style dAmano.
It is really interesting to see, for the first game, how the sprites of the game composed of pixels are transformed into characters and vice versa concepts. Even if you played the games, the designs will seem strange because they can be very different in game shape.
The mass content may vary for each game. The second book is the thickest so we have a lot of things about Final Fantasy IV to VI. The third is thinner, with only a dozen pages on FFVII. Most concerned Cloud and Aeris, with a furtive appearance of Sephiroth and Red XIII.
All the characters or enemies are not captioned. It is sometimes difficult to identify them.
Depending on where you lachetez, it is possible quun surcharge is applied on the weight. The cabinet is heavy and it is shipped in its special box to protect it from damage. It's a good way to treat such a beautiful box.
You may know that it is a book published earlier that sappelle Dawn: The Worlds of Final Fantasy. Most of its content is reproduced in the box so there are no longer any reason to lacquérir.
In the end, this set is unbeatable in value. Buy it very quickly if you like the illustrations.
