(+) Small (diameter 59 mm, height 57 mm).
(+) Light (143 g).
(+) Sound pretty good, though bass physical reasons undersized. When the unit on a resonance body provides (eg wooden table), the bass stand out a little more.
(+) Volume level amazing (if necessary also suitable for party PA).
(+) Bluetooth connection to the mobile phone (with Android 2.2) work right away. With more than 5 m distance inside the home but individual misfires.
(+) Playback from SD card works well - and will play audio files in subfolders.
(+) Playback from the MP3 player (stereo mini jack cable between line-in and headphone out MP3 player) also works well. If you turn on the plug, it comes, however, to more seconds of dropouts.
(+) Battery lasts "forever" (when playing on line-in with about half volume almost 12 hours a day - in the Instructions were four hours called!).
() This thing is a "light organ": When playing via Bluetooth, the entire ring will flash at the bottom of the appliance blue. When playing back through line-in, he lit blue when playing card it flashes red. Is the battery capacity is running low, it blinks frantically red (then you have a little over 1 hour playback time until the unit shuts down).
() No feedback on the end of the charging process. According to the manual, a LED should be red during charging in the off state. But it does not. If the USB cable plugged in, lights up nothing, and also at the end of the charging process (after about 2 hours), there is neither an audible nor a visual signal that the battery is full. You can only reference to the development of heat (via IR thermometer) to determine whether the battery is being charged or not (during charging about 29 ° C, then 23 ° C). When charging one should therefore remember the time and leave the unit for at least 2 hours on stream.
() Mini-USB! All phones have nowadays Micro-USB, but this device still uses the old mini USB standard. So an appropriate charging cable (located at least) do not forget!
To conclude, my personal conclusion: Despite the negative points (mini-USB, "light organ", no visual feedback on the state of charge) a lovely little device to "space-filling" to hear as music or podcasts from your phone or MP3 player. A "sound miracle" can not be expected in the small size of course.
