Since a relatively large land we have (circumferential sides each 25 - 30 meters long) and I was tired of the Kabelage the grass trimming, this trimmer has been purchased. Plus points: the device is lightweight and easy to use and very quiet in operation and, of course, most importantly, without cable with hopefully long haltendem Li-Io battery. But there the good points. Although compared to the 230-V-thread trimmers naturally lags: in comparison, the Bosch has less power and its problems with thicker weeds and natural boundaries. Especially when trimming the chain-link fence or curb its special plastic blade is worn out very quickly, that is only half as long. I need to replace the blade after every actually complete trimming of our land. Battery Life: I'm having trouble creating a single charge our land (about 110 meters). The advertised 800 - 1000 meters term shall probably only at very low stress. Probably the trimming draws on chain-link fence a) a lot of energy and b) use the plastic knife as I said very quickly. Here Bosch should definitely improve the material used the knife yet. I wanted to buy a second battery to then, the (not directly at Bosch) there currently but nowhere to buy them separately (as of June 2009). If another unit from the 18 V Li-Io series from Bosch to buy (eg the hedge trimmer) however you have two battery packs to power the charger. What bothers me when trimming: you have to press simultaneously, so that the engine is running, what safety is certainly OK, but the hand takes quite at longer distances the direction slide (forward / reverse) and power switch. Here I would have liked a grid.
