I can not quite understand the sometimes harsh criticism at the Roncalli radio plays. The radio plays are indeed intended for small children - and because they work according to our own experience wonderful! They should rather be compared to the Benjamin Blümchen and Bob the builder of the world as a radio drama with elaborate youth and adult productions; and as the Roncalli-stories can easily keep up. There is a bit of tension, well dosed circus atmosphere, just mitverfolgbare stories, (of course) happy endings and a lot to smile and laugh. In addition to the great overexcited Tusnelda Donner especially the dry wit and invective of Bernhard Paul as Zippo is really unique. And the theme song is also a super-catchy. We have nothing to complain about at home and the CDs will certainly hear many times until we can someday live again experience Roncalli hopefully.
