Background:
I read all the reviews on Amazon before.
Also I have Acronis True Immage 2013 installed on my computer Win 7
and knew about the problems of non-recognition by the Becker software.
So with the Autoruns program I had previously all RUN, Internet Explorer,
and services settings disabled. But it did not help. I have it
Acronis True Immage 2013, but completely uninstalled.
Test drive:
I made out of the box, then connected only at the computer.
Connection to the computer (Windows 7 Home)
the device has been detected, but no further reactions. I then first
Acronis True Immage 2013 completely uninstalled.
Now the Navi is detected:
automatically went nothing after the USB connection, have the computer directory
but found the Becker device and then searched for the setup program.
The Setup
As internet connection I was initially referred to an update of CM.
Agreed OK, it was proposed and accepted a backup, then later the new CM was active.
After that program should be shut down, as well as the Navi and the computer.
Then reboot your computer, then Navi reconnected, the CM was installed.
Almost there:
now I have the CM started to get updates etc. The LMU-cards have to specially activate but with me appeared only the commercial cards, not the free chartes! Maybe just an idea: After the last update the CM Navi has new software that it knows at all, which it had previously navigated before?
I shut everything out after the Navi activated, it has
logged and my position correctly angezeigt.Danach back to the computer
connected.
Now starts the CM software and sign in. Then menu "maps" called now, the LMU was offered map, "activate" clicked on, and now started the download of new maps.
Duration:
there were about 2.7 GB of data to load, has about 1 for me: 45h and lasted together
finished installation are all spent over 2 hours.
The problems between:
During the update the cards ran, my computer suddenly wanted to go into sleep mode. He downshifted in the "suspend". MS calls it now "save energy"! Fortunately, I have a key on my keyboard, and could reawaken him immediately. After the download immediately ran on, God seidank.
Then a few minutes later announced my PC, the USB connection to Navi had been separated. I do not know why, so far the download had run about 1 hour. I immediately started the CM "Content Manager" new, new signed up for re-election card (update), reactivated LMU, all as if you start the first time, but then the download was continued automatically, after that everything went smoothly. The recent downloads were identified and not repeated. Completely mistaken tierend: instead of "download" running, "unloading" is running appears!?!
Which user deal with that?
I had an expense of nearly 4 HRS. Who you can expect something like this?
Meanwhile, I have also my Acronis 2013 installed again, hopefully I have
not live through the next map update next year everything again.
