I have with my 16 years now not the most experience in the audio field, but I have that and am working for some time with such things. I have the x500 for my first Soundsytem selected because it offers practice all that you need for a small home theater (WLAN was of no interest to me). The menu is very well arranged and held flat, so that anyone with it should handle. About settings you should not say a word here because they have different effects on each speaker system, but what still can say is that the remote control has a simple button layout! I myself used the AV receiver with a 5.0 Eltax Universe and the Yamaha YST SW 012, which was rated prima years, plus high-quality cable. With a couple of skilful adjustment measures it goes perfectly in my 30-square-foot room. About the connections I have a Smart TV, PS3, Apple TV and a PC connected to the receiver. You can now use almost to the receiver. The appearance of the X500's: a black made in very fine heavy box. The huge volume control makes very dominant on the front, the display is read in fullest brightness even from 5 meters clear and displays the current status and radio the songs that are currently running. The only complaint on my part metal grid is above me, the columns above too large (see photo), it happens very quickly, the dust on the internal technology falls. Bring in use any disadvantages it bothers me but a little. The receiver gets very chic addition to TV and Co. I can recommend without restriction! In combination with the aforementioned speakers and the subwoofer for my taste an absolute sound experience whether listening to the radio or when BluRay all look very realistic and detailed. I still have in front of friends grin when I turn up from time to time and listen to music, it's fun to look Fime becomes a were cinema experience today! I know I've written a lot around it, but I hope you know what I mean. For the price everything unbeatable in everything! I wish I would have given this receiver more than five stars. LG
