Assembly:
The construction is unfortunately associated with a lot Schrauberei and annoying a bit, the pylon with motor and controller I have not used for 10 flights, but built a 150gr 380 Watt motor in the nose, had the battery under the wing. Already a reconstruction, in which you should know what you're doing. Where was the engine before, now sits the camera. The flight characteristics are better than ever, the patch engine had passed when gas or take out to load changes, now he flies as if pulled by a string.
Specifying 3 servos is misleading, meaning the hull (2 tail servo and the engine = 3 functions), as retaining the 4 wing servos. With the enclosed distribution cables can get away with a 6-channel receiver, the better are 8 channels, with camera control even 12! I have a Graupner MZ24, a GR12 and GR16 in an operation, there still current sensor and GPS loggers are drinne!
As a further advantage of the trunk comes to light: Lots of space!
But all will be well programmed and flown, you should know ...
For the beginner sure Überfordernt, much effort - but the rewards!
In the air:
As already mentioned, it flies good-naturedly. The plastic hull forgive much more than styrofoam, thermosets, elastomers, haste-nich-seen-Por. When it is cold to enjoy but with caution, it is harder and thus more brittle. So far I can report negative except for abrasions to the hull by many landings nix.
The flaps can my 1.7 kilos - braking bomber almost to walking pace, at stall he tends his nose and takes good pace again (!).
Have you a video uploaded.
A beautiful landing and an (almost) stationary in the air can be seen, he behaves in a model when starving.
Because it's a really very good plane, I give 5 stars, but that should not obscure the lack of drive!
Better in the nose with the engine (then called Phoenix).
Despite the effort, I'm happy with the Boomerang and recommend expressly to property developers!
It is worth it!
