Concerning their self-titled fourth studio album, so seie say so: it is by far their worst. The album as a whole does not have a central theme and up to 3 (of 10) songs seem to be here incorporated much of the Resterampe me. The singles are pale ("Lights") to alarmingly inconsequential ("Barricades"). The master stroke comes only as a bouncer: "The Undoing" is the best Interpol song ever, the best of the plate anyway and the best Albumcloser the year, threatening, restless, dark, I have to think of Chameleons, a somber humming in the background when the song is over, you have to hear it again and think, horny plate ... :), clever Interpol
