For a few euros more, with the M-Audio AV 40, you change your universe of Hifi, true! but beware: loyalty, it surprises! If you have experienced the boom boom speakers and dling dling 2.0, 2.1 even in good brands, you will find a bit dull. Yet what truth voices, and instruments like the stamps are recognizable and fair! And bass! the bass string to empty a bass (! Hrz 32, no less) sounds exactly as if you were there: Check the "Montreux Alexander" attack "work song": not a harmonic is missing, the rustling rope on the handle is precise: a real treat! to rediscover Mingus!

If you are "audiophile", the active speaker is for you (as flawless in classic piano, violin, orchestra, voice, it goes very clean and very fair). I have found nothing better in the budget 200-300 euros max that I had set myself.
