I've just been in New York and was looking for films that capture the atmosphere. Of these there are plenty, but this one's also quite new. I've seen the two previous films, in my opinion, is very convenient, but not absolutely necessary to follow the plot. The nearly forty years leading actor with Erasmus students-past and an ordinary complicated patchwork family life, has this time drifted to New York to be closer to his children, who live with his ex-wife. Furthermore, his lesbian pal friend from student apartment-days and his first love Martine reappear. And much more, I would also not tell us about the intricacies. A not too kitschy love story about a "French man" in New York. Worth seeing!
