Our new document scanner joins seamlessly to the positive experience with Canon and convinced me almost right down the line !!
The unit I have now been 14 days in almost daily use and look forward anew to use the device every day.
After the postman arrived in my package of document scanners, I could use the device for 5 minutes or less for the first time, because the operation is extremely simple. Furthermore, the document scanner has an accompanying software which can be installed on Windows, but also for the Mac operating. In my case, I'm sitting on a Mac and often annoyed by the lack of support of this operating system some manufacturers of other electronics.
In the software you can then quite simply take all the settings as desired and is very easily led into the intuitive menu, also to a maximum of 5 minutes to operate easily.
Amazingly the Canon document scanner is after the first use then not only the crisp quality of the scans, but also the extreme speed of the scanner. You get times just 50 double-page spreads in fewer than two minutes scanned.
I have so far never worked on such a fast machine and was flabbergasted really after the first round with the unit. In the first week I have so scanned documents with this scanner 20 brimful folding folder with more than 300 sheets per folder and thus finally archived digitally. My case, I save my documents via the supplied Capture on touch as a PDF. The possibility of correction and editing is the one before the scan, where the catchment and its correction can be set. Following further corrections are possible but so many adjustments to improve the quality of the documents can be made. Is very convenient in the program, that you can save the scanned documents not only on the computer, but also could put directly into the Dropbox or even e-mail. For documents that need to be sent directly to the e-mail delivery is thus perfectly natural and a work step is omitted, thereby saving time. Canon recommends not exceeding this machine has a maximum capacity of 2,000 scans per day. I guess that this simply is even with the heat development in conjunction, but the device is definitely a labor monsters, because even in continuous operation of several hours, the unit heats not very. But you should open now and again the front flap and remove any remaining dust.
Who does not want to use with the included USB cable to the printer, can integrate the device also via wireless after initial setup to the network and thus scan wirelessly. Even with mobile devices like the iPhone you can then access the network to the device. Here, one can imagine the document transmitted directly to the mobile device. Canon has a free app for the AppStore provided, so you can work with the Mobile Version of Capture on touch.
Who must also scan images in addition to its documents or want to einsetzn can also document scanners. on the adjustable slide the unit can adjust the size of the images exactly, so they can be fed clean. For images, however, I must confess that the quality is a bit too weak in this case to actually want to work with. The post is a bit more complicated and the Black run something to which tear the lights often. Since the device is however reported as document scanners, this circumstance does not matter to me, since we use for pictures anyway other devices.
All in all, the document scanner to its small size is a real powerhouse and by the paper feed on the page you can eject the scanned documents either to the front or back but can eject vertically, so that nothing gets dropped.
