However, I would hereafter enumerate the me which were noted weaknesses that are simply present, and could appear one or another helpful. Ultimately my Topstar daily use needs to be replaced after just 2 1/4 years with approximately 4-8 hours.. It was used semi professionally in the home office on a floor mat laminate. I am 1,87m tall and 100-105Kg difficult.
- The 5 hard carpet rolls sit in very simple plastic sleeves of the otherwise very stable metal foot cross. Unfortunately, these are all 5 reels cracked / broken. The rollers can no longer circulate freely, stay in one direction and scrape jammed in moving the chair laterally across the floor.
- The backrest has in all directions about 3cm game and works by "loose".
- From the gas spring swells black grease that runs out at the chromed exterior. You messed up properly your fingers when you're not careful. The cheap plastic cap at the bottom of the mid-foot cross Gasfruckfeder drops more often. Although there is no Flüsssigkeit out - it disturbs every now and then to find somewhere again just the thing. Also I'm not sure how long the pen is still working properly.
- The entire chair creaks or makes noise when you move. The constant loosening the mounting screws of the armrests of the seat I had reduced after only a few weeks use by interposed spring washers from the hardware store. Too much Knarz I have this but follow from time to time.
- The locking / brake stepless tilt adjustment no longer holds. The chair tilts at light load the front seat even when finding immediately forward until it stops. It seems as if the clamping slips or something inside was broken / abraded. The mechanism is not accessible and I dare not turn, because the whole thing is under spring tension. The prolonged sitting is so uncomfortable. This is the actual homicide criterion why I want to replace the chair quickly.
Maybe I have claimed the chair over moderation, but Topstar is no mention of limited suitability. Therefore, I go with a "swivel chair" also full of office-use way of.
Of course, it is clear that the price range around 250, - represents the best entry-level to higher-quality chairs. I had assumed that higher-priced chairs, are more expensive due to their still further adjustment possibilities, for example in the lumbar region, or a seat displacement. Meanwhile, however, I have noticed that there are indeed differences in the materials and workmanship, and design. On my next chair, I will pay more attention to the above points and very safe buy no more Topstar. Because at first sightings in furniture stores I have found exactly these "weaknesses" in other top star again. Unfortunately dive better qualities only when chairs of other brands that go priced where Topstar has already stopped.
My favorite is currently a Steelcase Please, who is more than twice as expensive but also with neat estate; (
