From Trelock I am absolutely delighted and would not hesitate to prefer him the Cyo - Plus points:
- Very good beam with low beam light, but also good action at a distance, ie oncoming cyclists without lights, but with reflectors can be seen parked cars in about 30 m distance, just as traffic signs, also normally high on poles! And this at the correct setting with a maximum light point in 5-10 meters on the ground, as required by StVZO. When Busch + Müller the light cone is a bit wider, but ends much more abruptly and prevents Sichbarkeit the aforementioned objects, as they become more than about 5 meters.
- Lamp is, contrary to the description, suitable for External Dynamo and works optimally. Connection should then be made on the taillight terminals or switch constantly "a" are, because with unregulated Dynamos these can damage the backlight when the headlamp is made. Exceptions are the Busch and Müller S6 and the Dynosys Light Spin - these are "regulated power supply units" and allow you to operate. I have the S6 and can therefore take advantage of the automatic and off.
- Excellent mechanical processing with break-resistant, very massive diffuser, which is also justified in the case and does not protrude as in Cyo and therefore not the "breaking point" is.
- Optical fibers are fed by its own LED and are not only gag but a real advantage for passive safety, as these efficient headlights deliver little more flare, which can be well seen on the visibility from oncoming traffic from. The optical fibers provide the necessary level of scattered light to see even from an oblique position and brighter around the cyclists from the front can.
Minus points that I want to add:
- Supplied headlight bracket is suitable not for cantilever brakes! In addition, fit Busch + Müller-holder where it suitable for Cantis are not, to the lamp. We must enlarge the hole in the headlamp to 6 mm and inferior two (stainless) slices to make it compatible with this fixture holders.
- Side lights are not switched off prematurely, which under certain circumstances a "steal me" tantamount -Ruf when the bike is parked ...
- Unfortunately, this spotlight firmly soldered cable has instead of located directly on the housing flat plug pins. If damage to the cable or use the reverse feed on the taillight contacts the cable must be cut / trimmed and is tinkering again, or the headlights are opened. The taillight contacts are solid plug pins as desired - why can not that be for supplying so, so that a total of 4 contacts without fixed cables are there? Then everyone the necessary cables can connect themselves and take the bulb also to another bike, without every time craft activities are needed.
-> As a compromise I have cut the cable to a few cm and attached himself flat plug pins, although it bothers me at a high-priced product.
In summary it can be said that light type, distribution and processing speak strongly for the Trelock. The disadvantage with the cables have the Busch + Müller models also, there is even worse with up to 4 fixed cables in the "hub dynamo" versions.
