I find some very hard comments about this little machine, the Playsport has never claimed to have the quality of a high-end camcorder, I'll just compare what is comparable, the other handheld camcorders and video camera function. I have the Zi8 and I also tested the Sony Bloggie, the Zi8 was already one of the highest rated handheld camcorders and I already found him a nice picture (better Bloggie), the Playsport is better. Certainly, the Zi8 is a little clearer in dark areas and small integrated screen is bigger and better, it also has the macro and micro port, but on a 32 inch screen, the image is Playsport better under the same conditions, that of the Zi8 with some artifacts and grain that are not found on the Playsport (I mean normal conditions with a minimum illumination of course). Also, if I compare it with Playsport video camera according to some, the Canon Ixus 200 IS, Canon Powershot 210 IS or the Panasonic Lumix ZX38, the filmed image is better, I mean the video function because obviously there is no question of the photo function I do not and will not use the Playsport uses. Finally, for those who deplore the fact that it looks like amateur video, it is normal, the Playsport is designed for amateurs and not professionals. Its price is reasonable and within reach of all, it fits in a pocket, image quality is good, it does not leave me, my children and I film in all conditions, something I will not do with a more conventional camcorder . So, you see, a high-end camcorder that you only get out in exceptional conditions or a small camcorder that fits in your pocket and you take everywhere to film in the pool, to the sea, at any time, there where you never dare take a conventional camcorder? I took him even when I go shopping;) because my son in the cart always funny tricks or amusing reflections, I would never have brought my Sony HDD. In addition, the Playsport is very discreet, you can film without even that people do realize it.
