I like Roland Kaiser, because his songs are ambiguous and contain damn much subtext. Most surprised me Title 11, "Carlos is sad," it is but this is a farewell to communism. (And on a hit CD with the picture-logo on the cover!). With Carlos, of course no one else meant when Karl (Carlos) Marx. Behind the salsa band is not difficult to recognize the Cuban people who tried to over half a century ago to build a classless society. The girl, who has made over night from the dust, is undoubtedly a metaphor for the communist idea. The "depleted coffers" of which is mentioned in the song stand for the economic decline of the socialist planned economy. At the end of the band of Carlos turns away, and Carlos ... is sad. Author of the play is Hans-Joachim Neumann, the original singer of the East German rock group carat.
