Unfortunately Link to warranty check is not therefore allowed the way:
1. Go to the WD website -> Support -> Choose warranty and replacement service.
2. Select "review of guarantee" in the block end
There, the serial number can enter and check in then.

Unfortunately, my hard disk was delivered (via Amazon, dealer 1Deins) had no guarantee. The Western Digital warranty check to certify that it is an OEM disk is in the complete devices (laptops, external hard drive, etc.) is installed at the factory. WD makes no warranty.
This is, unfortunately, made by many traders as, among other things, I had the cases when:
- 1Deins Computer GmbH (this case, this HDD here)
- CS-eT Computershop (denies the Western Digital statement also woe ment)
Further still many cases where the hard drive was not intended for Germany.
This is often corrected via goodwill on the WD Support, It was always! to "FBA" products.
Amazon has been repeatedly informed in writing and by telephone about this deplorable state of affairs. More than "just send back" However, did not come out.
Here is mixed wild, what fair traders the correct action / shopping properly punished because you can not match the prices of black sheep and Amazon looks easy.
