After the first bewildering pages (we actually suffer presentations on architecture), The Blue Afternoon is a tidal wave that takes you completely, you turn the pages V great speed to enjoy this well-crafted detective story but that only serves to Support to the evocation of a beautiful love story. The history is rich, full of surprises and twists. We find the ingredients of the excellent A Good Man in Africa in this novel: the main character is an expatriate, Boyd takes us into his innermost thoughts .... But since come a long way! Boyd has reached a higher dimension. And what style! English is precise, simple, classic but everything sounds pretty darn accurate. Enjoy a great time with this novel. Maximum score.
