This movie is just great and brings us good and atmospheric waived the time of 1815 herĂ¼ber.Auch the film largely on disturbing subplots and so can concentrate fully on the actual event! Rod Steiger as Napoleon in the final stages and Orson Welles as fat Louis XIII are just great, but the other roles are occupied class, and each one takes off his role, and the fight scenes are phenomenal! Unfortunately you have to find as Waterloo connoisseur that this film was cut for the market (Titanic, Gettysburg and many more), and yet you lose a little track, and the intervention of Prussia is not as good as schlachtendscheidend but as nice side effect is over, and so the layman does not understand the Zusammenhang.Schade eigendlich that one can mutilate a masterpieces so, but otherwise this film would have 10 stars! So lacking in the Mona Lisa's smile, unfortunately, only!
