First of all I have a number of computers and already carried out over the years umpteen times bios updates and always with Gigabyte boards. Now this board with Rev. 1.0 refused the update, regardless of whether file with the GA server or perBios and server connection. Every error message wrong bios. Thus, the processor is not detected correctly and too hot and the mobo is unusable. I speculate in the future to ASUS to upgrade because another new Board of gigabytes in three Buerorechnern makes problems and does not recognize sporadically keyboard and mouse after starting. Too bad that has so weakened the company.
May 6, 2015 Update With the help ofBIOS for win64 and a matching file the update worked. The board runs since both Apple Yosemite [my main operating system] and with Win64 without problems. With the i7 4970K and 32GB RAM, the computer is a real beast Photoshop. The temperatures of the CPU are now in regular section so at about 65C at full load the CPU while rendering with Photoshop. But go right back to 30C when the job is done.
