Customer Review

Now it's finally released, the second studio album "The Killer Instinct" of the Black Star Riders. Scott Gorham, Ricky Warwick and the remaining band members have all out once again really good. I like it even better than the debut album "All Hell Breaks Loose", although this record was already absolutely outrageous. They really are the true "heir" of Phil Lynott's Thin Lizzy, that you can only confirm after the release of their second album. 10 great songs on the CD and in the 1st Ltd. Digibook on the 2nd CD again 6 bonus tracks including 4 acoustic versions of "The Killer Instinct", "Blind Sided", "Charlie I gotta go" and "Finest Hour". But on the 1st CD are of course the really well-produced rock songs and to find, as the would; the title track and entry in the album "The Killer Instinct", "Bullet Blues", "Blind Sided" (beautiful ballad), "Sex, Guns & Gasoline" and the last song "You Little Liar", with a little over 7 minutes while the longest song on the album.

Especially on the first two songs sound the voice of singer Ricky Warwick's voice not unlike Phil Lynott. Whether this happened by chance, or was fully intends to be once undecided here. However, it does not matter, the music and the vocals sound just phenomenal and I would imagine that it Phil up there in rock heaven certainly like if his legacy will continue in this great way.

This album was produced by Nick Raskulinecz incidentally, who worked previously, among others, RUSH, Mastodon and the Foo Fighters. The previous album "All Hell Breaks Loose" was indeed in 2013 still produced by Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION). Large differences are sound technically not make out after the first preview. Both albums are very good productions and I highly present this music of the Black Star Riders each his heart, which even today still raves about the good time, namely at the time when Phil Lynott and his "Thin Liesel" rocking out what stuff the held.

From me there for this album "horny" clearly five star fats and an even clearer buy recommendation to all young at heart Old rockers, even as I am one. Let's rock ...!
