It is my second ceramic knife (though the first brand-name product), and the blade is simply indescribable sharp! No matter what you want to cut it, the knife slips almost smoothly through.
(Of course, you must make sure that ceramic knives in principle not suitable for every cut: Some meat with bones, or frozen, etc. should also pry and presen one that's not just only cut..)
The initial focus is therefore mercilessly well. The long-term test is going to talk about time-sharpness.
BUT:
The handle is actually a disgrace. It is Low to plastic, much too small and not a bit tacky. He has a lot to smooth surface and is also not in the least ergonomic. The handle of the discounter ceramic knife was better off by far. It make almost no fun to take the Kyocera in the hand. (The cut, however, again already ...)
So it remains (also considering the price) with 3 stars.
