I already used several razors including Wilkinson (including a model he bought 20 years ago) but also Gillette Mach 3 (my favorite for 17 years!).
The Proglide Flexball Fusion razor is very close to Mach 3 model but is more pleasant dune finish. They are very similar in terms of lightness, lergonomie and grip.
Jai sensitive skin, easily irritated and hair from the dense and thick beard. Electric razors do not give me a satisfactory result unlike Gillette razor blades.
These models are similar to the 5-blade Mach 3 (3 blades) are identical in operation but require fewer passes.
Positives Fusion razor blades Proglide:
- Comfort of use (it is a "pleasure" to shave)
- Smooth gliding and pressing hard will cause very few cuts (especially by using the razor Gilette possessing Flexball technology)
- Extremely soft sensation (during and after shaving)
- Quality of the shave, and close to flawless skin even using used blades. I shave every two days (beard little apparent the second).
- Blades last very long (I change them every 4 to 5 weeks)
- The 5 blades facilitate the cut at the neck and hard to reach places
- Contrary to 5 Wilkinson blades, Fusion Proglide have easy access to the entrance of the nostrils
- The Blue lubricating strip prevents irritation and has good durability. It becomes white when used of Indicator and serves to "change" the blade.
- Highly accurate and durable, they can shave a skull without sabîmer
These Proglide Fusion blades represent what is currently best. However, the cost to the unit (3.75) is much more important than that of Mach3 (2.58) for a shaving difference not so blatantly for the majority of users. The efficiency of the blades 5 is real for those with the thick beard, but is exaggerated because of the race to the number of blades on a lucrative and competitive market. As for me, I will continue to juggle between the two models even if Gilette Fusion Proglide have my preference.
