I have this motherboard (Asrock 890FX Deluxe 5) due to the good features (AM3 + Ready, XFast USB, many connections, layout and P / L ratio) and the enclosed USB 3.0 front panel lined up. At first I was very excited, the UEFI and the OC-functions were promising and everything went very stable. After I installed everything but came after a short period of shock. Every time I have connected a USB device with an external power supply, the computer has gefreezt and I had reseten. Normal USB sticks etc but functioned properly. After much research, and UEFI driver update etc. I have found that my board had an error. Then I get changed and a new Amazon. But unfortunately no improvement even with the new board. The problems lie in the 3.0 controller installed NEC USB and are also known in various prior M4A * Asus boards as an error.
For this then quite high price I can therefore from the purchase of this mainboard only advise! I now have an Asus Crosshair Formula V, where these problems occur with the USB header not. Although still a bit more expensive but better features and 6 USB 3.0 ports has it that also function stably, no matter what you plug!
