Xandria have changed on her band's sound is not too much, in fact the band does just pick up where they left off with the last album. The full load bombastic arrangements can be heard on the entire album length. The band always happy incorporates small progressive elements in the sound. Gladly, the band strikes even faster sounds and presents some nice uptempo songs. Unlike the genre colleagues Epica is available here but no nasty male vocals with hefty growls heard. Thus, likely, already if the bright and clear singing of the singer, Sacrificium be mainly interesting for fans of the early Nightwish. Which reminds me of the song at Xandria much better like!
Which songs should retest to meet the album?
The first song of the album, I would not use, it looks a bit as if Xandria have the ten minute Sacrificium stretched a little. Had the band here, perhaps it is a little more focused to take care of the good chorus and a matching stanza, the entry into the album would be better managed. Here was definitely a little too much bombast on board.
Nightfall, however, can there already better than first serve good business card. Here the mix of crunchy guitar riffs, the beautiful singing and the bombast is set perfectly. The ballad The Undiscovered Country has been very nice. If you like it a little faster, which should deal with Until The End and Little Red Relish!
Sacrificium has become a good album, only the introductory title track seems a little cluttered!
