TIME I (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Thanks to the live streams, to the Wintersun-boys have asked to mastermind Jari Mäenpää for 2 days on their website - superior action, so the wait was easier, thanks for that! - I could get involved in now felt 20 runs on an album that exceeds all expectations and will not let go!
Clearly, it was time that Time1 is finally released, but people, this is simply amazing! We're not talking more about an x-any metal plate or a hingeixtes concept album - what we offer here is for me much more will receive: a bombastic metal soundtrack - on a journey to a Wintersun is involved - whether you like it or not! Here is the chronology:

1) When Time Fades Away: the intro - in noise as in a winter night to mingle until tender, then louder and gentle Zupfgitarren- Keybordklänge. The whole rises more then to film music and ends in a finale that every time causes goosebumps with me because it's just epic and you will be ideally prepared for ...

2) Sons of Winter and Stars: the first longplayer flows naturally and then explode in a storm from the intro on! Immediately turn louder! Listening, enjoying, headbanging! And especially the first time (!) Does not get irritated, it acts at the beginning of it a bit difficult to access because very complex, but this is only classified as a hammer with repeated loud (!) Listening. The 13-minute film is a total of 4 acts - (a) Rain of Stars is the opener, which impresses with rich orchestral riffs and ingenious Shouts, then with (b) Surrounded by Darkness follows the first verse as it were, no more, in fact an independent song where Jari runs to top form then unpack with (c) Journey Inside a Dream a quiet passage and its fantastic clean voice. Simply goosebumps! But anyone who thinks that the song now slowly leaking is mistaken: with (d) Sons of Winter and Stars explode the slowly developing tension again and then what follows is a true pleasure to epic bombast Metal with a great chorus insert at the end (herein, the circle of the Youtube publications in advance of the album had been looking forward all the time, how they incorporate these Männerchor well - cool!). Overall, Sons of Winter and Stars, a potpourri of just really horny Metal - atemberraubend and become difficult to dislodge as catchy!

3) Land of Snow and Sorrow: The following is the quietest besides the instrumentals song of the plate - but again great melodies are unpacked, the merge with Jari Clean vocals to a Gesamtkunstwerk. The beginning is quiet and is cut by a slightly distorted guitar and then build the basic melody of the song, only soft heavy, a dreamy melody which also has catchy. But the really strong in this song are the atmospheric transitions of Jari's powerful vocals (which takes this delicate boy just this force her !?) are simply accompanied only wirkungsvollst. Light Screams, great choruses, heavenly music, choirs, goosebumps - Total also very strong!

4) Darkness and Frost: the fourth lead of the plate is again an instrumental. But who yawns now let me tell you not just any instrumental - they just belong in here, but it redirects again in great style with Zupfgitarren and orchestral elements in the title track on the there is ..

5) Time: a herzzereißender cry breaks through the sonorous bombast introduction including instrumental mood of the song - and by now you know it's time to unpack the air guitar and banging her head with devotion! This song brings me everything that Wintersun is, great music, hammer song, no matter whether presented as gescreamt in the verses or the wonderful chorus clean because I get now already goosebumps. This chorus is definitely not to block out of my head and initiates in which one is taken only on a gigantic epic journey Metals the next act of this song!

The album will be re-decided with quieter elements and the latest here is the audience clear that it will take too long to finally comes the second act of this bombastic Time travel soundtracks. But until then, you can take comfort with 40 outstanding minutes - for me one of the strongest albums of recent years - it was also about time :)
