First of all, the packaging: A noble-looking leather cover in a metal shell - very imaginative and the concept of the album properly!
I will spare me to look at each track individually. The work can only be assessed as a whole, in my opinion, as in concept albums now should be the case sometimes.
After I have now listened to several times (of course, as loud as possible), I can only come to the conclusion that Manowar have delivered a masterpiece here that has no equal! One may be divided on the adjoining megalomania posturing of Joey DeMaio. This production anyway follows another concept masterpieces like "Operation: Mindcrime" a Queensryche or "Streets" by Savatage.
They remain their for more than two decades unchanged line faithful. Bombastic Metal in perfect symbiosis with classical compositions divine mediated by Eric Adams's unique voice. Even the speech parts fit perfectly and are at no time of approximately 74 minutes lasting journey through Norse mythology tedious.
My conclusion: Demanding Heavy Metal in perfection - this album can easily be compared with "Kings of Metal" not to be afraid.
