Well, on the PC was on a Windows XP and 512MB DDR2-533 memory in it; no wonder then that the PC was so lame. I gave the good woman the Council to return to Saturn PC. The next day I ordered the matching memory modules at Amazon, who arrived then two days later. My son took over the installation of memory, and I gave telephone support. Since this was his first memory installation, the computer did not work at first, of course. You can only give the Council, the memory slots to be cleaned well and impress the bolt tight enough.
After a bit of back and forth, the computer then ran. Everything goes much faster now. Firefox and Office now need a fraction of the time to start. An investment of 24 Euro, the woman saved 400. Super!
A detailed memory test I could not do, but the computer is running since reliable, no crashes or the like. Overall recommended for old boxes, which are used only for office work.
