The theme of an authoritarian society that prevails through terror by imposing an atrocious reality game makes important reflections on citizenship and censorship. But also on moral values and identity. Katniss discovers these important elements as and measuring our reading. She must fight against other "players", but also to impress and collect sponsors and love of spectators. The work of Suzanne Collins is deeply cannibal, she grabs you and does not let you until you are the last lines of the novel that leaves you hungry (if I may be allowed the pun).
This universe, assumed post apocalyptic, is exciting and much less violent than the manga Battle Royale (designed by Masayuki Taguchi and written by Takami Koushun) to which the basic history may suggest. The writing is fluid and the author's style is perfectly suited to all readers.
