A murdered family - only survivor of the massacre, Libby, seven, refers to Ben as her brother assassin.25 years later, for purely financial reasons, she agrees to confront the past. I love storytelling. A chapter on adult Libby and his quest for the truth - she finds her brother, still in prison, his unworthy father etc - always followed by a chapter devoted to the fateful day of the murder. We thus discover the Day family; his way of life, its problems, the character and actions of its membres.Nous witnessing a slow escalation of violence and horror. It's very well written, very dense - reading keeps us in suspense until the last page.Les characters are alive, their very detailed psychology and so is the secondary characters It is only the second book of Gillian Flynn but I very much hope that it will continue to write his dark stories. For me, it deserves to join the great ladies of polar; Ruth Rendell or Elizabeth George.
