The illuminated area appears not nearly as strong as the diode lights, but is still light enough for hallway and bathroom / WC. I have these night lights for several weeks now and speak of an absolute buy recommendation.
In order to determine in the review entitled "scrap, merely not buy" from December 09, 2009, that these lights "(!) All day and night so hinglimmen on," I have a tip: take out of the socket.
