The only live CD of four Swedes is undoubtedly still one of my favorite in my collection. And not necessarily because on this CD a lot of melodic best ABBA songs are to be found. For me it is because of the incredible voices of women whose actual class is only open up when listening to this live album - even though you already know the game with harmonies and dissonances of the studio recordings. The best example is Chiquitita, in which Agnetha sings simply breathtaking and Frida to perfect are the deep voice. Even with Dancing Queen can the well detect when one of the two early starts but both the next moment again fit together perfectly in the chorus a bit. One effect, which they use in the studio Happy New Year a year later. Simply wonderful, much better than in a studio sound ABBA in Eagle and I Have A Dream, beside Chiquitita for me the absolute highlights of the album. It is a pity that the audience was almost completely filtered out, such as in I Have A Dream, in which it is completely gone on filming yet clear audible clap and sing along from the audience. And just when you have the '79er live version of Hole In Your Soul with it taken, Concert mood would have on the album. In spite of all ABBA Live remains a truly successful and wonderful album, from which one can hardly get enough, and in which one wishes that this group once again comes together and you can even relive one of their concerts.
