OPTICS:
--------
The design (white model) I think well done and refreshing. Scratches and dust on the glossy surface only partially visible. That is certainly the black model differently.
SETUP:
-------------------
The decor was very simple for me. Firstly I have the supplied software is installed and the printer via USB connected to my computer, then I have connected the device via the touch screen with my wireless and thus made the MG7150 for my tablet and smartphone visible via App. The installed on the PC software runs under Windows 8 so far properly!
FEATURES:
------------------
Following the Pixma MG7150 ruled:
Print, copy, scan
automatic duplex printing
6 tank system
WiFi and cloud printing, USB and LAN connection
Pressure from the smartphone / tablet per app
Card Reader
CD / DVD printing
Sensor control panel (operation super easy)
3.5 (8.8 cm) touch screen
2 paper trays
Unfortunately, up to this point, the allrounder does not have a USB port PirctBridge. Luckily the MG7150 and my digital camera dominates the printing via WLAN that the connection is unnecessary.
PRESSURE:
---------
When specified print resolution of 9600 x 2400dpi, the sensational MG7150 lets his two smaller brothers MG6450 and MG5550 (both 4800 x 1200 dpi) in the cold. One can certainly speak of photo lab quality. The print quality is bombastic well. Photo printing is perfected when MG7150. By matching Canon genuine paper just awesome! I once found me the Canon PP-201 10x15 paper.
The pressure, lt. Canon 15 pages in accordance with ISO standard in b / w (10 pages color) I find pleasantly quiet. For such a fast print engine I am pleasantly surprised, especially positive. As listed offers the Pixma ideally 2 paper trays. The lower cassette almost 125 pages of plain paper with 80g. Can accommodate up to 20 sheets of photo paper in the upper cassette (depending on the thickness). If you send a print job to the printer wakes up the printer to the standby mode and the front cover opens automatically. Nice feature!
SCAN:
-------
The scanning quality leaves nothing to be desired. With 2400 x 4800 dpi resolution the MG7150 has an advantage over MG6450 and MG5550 on his side (both 1200 x 2400 dpi). As I scan rare I would not be as high weights this point. My scan attempts were properly.
Follow-up costs:
----------------------------
If you want to compare with other manufacturers to follow-up costs can have a go at the details of Canon. Following the quantities of Canon are given (ISO A4 page at = 5% coverage):
551m: up to 298 ISO-pages (7 mL) ----------- XL: up to 660 ISO pages (11ml)
551c: up to 304 ISO-pages (7 mL) ----------- XL: up to 665 ISO pages (11ml)
551y: up to 330 ISO-pages (7 mL) ----------- XL: up to 685 ISO pages (11ml)
551gy: up to 125 color photos 10x15 (7ml) ----- XL: up to 275 color photos 10x15 (11ml)
551bk: up to 495 color photos 10x15 (7ml) ----- XL: up to 1,125 color photos 10x15 (11ml)
550bk: up to 300 ISO-sides (15 ml) -------- XL: up to 500 ISO-sides (22 ml)
All right? Something opaque if you would like to compare with other manufacturers, which is already
The normal rate is cartridges depending on the provider to the 70 Euro, the XL is set at a ratio significantly less expensive for the 95 euros to have. As I see the follow-up costs with my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600, whose cartridge set is to have (950XL BK for almost 2300 pages, 951c / m / y depending almost 1500 pages) for tight 110 euros, but significantly more capacity has I can say that at least the Textdruck- costs when MG7150 by Canon are significantly higher. The print quality, especially with photos, but is visibly better at Canon. Here you need to know where you put more value on it of course; Follow-up costs (mass printing) or print quality !?
CONCLUSION:
--------
In summary, I can say that a fast, quiet, high-resolution multi-function device with many connections and connection options you get with the Pixma MG7150, whose follow-up costs are indeed settled slightly higher than the competition, but is compensated by brilliant print quality! The price / performance ratio fits perfectly!
