I bought this drive to replace the factory-installed Bluray burner in my Vaio laptop that had after 4 years now given up the ghost and nich stopped moving. Installation and even changing the faceplate, before I Grobmotoriker had some jitters, easily and quickly went. And of course the most important, the drive runs surprisingly quiet and does what it should. Remains possibly be noted that it is not quite as "smooth" and far when you press the eject button opens like my old, but that's me personally even quite right.
Only the packaging could have been a bit more stable. For sensitive technical devices I'm normally used to a little more than a thinly padded envelope.
