The build quality is mediocre. The housing plate is not too thick and just as accurately processed that at a glance notice no Unregelmäßigkiten. Our specimen wobbles slightly when it is our (absolutely flat) granite countertop. The feet are made not of rubber but the front of durable plastic and rear bulges as the metal casing soil. Our countertop the device from slipping relative ease.
The deepest part of the rear of the housing starts only 3.5 cm above the worktop and would initiate hard on our granite plinth. But since we are using an electrical socket that is behind the unit, the back panel comes to the relatively soft rubber safety plug of the power cord. The power cable has failed with almost 90 cm length by the way quite short. It comes back to the left about 10 cm height of the housing.
A big difference in the handling makes the folding down door. Advantage is that you can equally approach from both sides of the device and touching the handle lighter in the oven with both hands. In return, the bottom of the interior is the JT 469 SL / BL very high - a whopping 12 cm above the base on which the appliance stands. This of course is that you have to reach over the door of time in the oven. That works just fine if you are large enough in relation to the installation altitude.
While JT 469 SL is running, its fan produces a clearly audible noise. The hum of the microwave unit is in this device, however, so loud that it drowned out the clear fan. In addition, the thin-walled housing tends to vibrate and the device so that the drone. That was already in the very similar structure JT 369 BL so that we had previously for three years in almost daily use. The fan runs by the way, even after the end of the heating process (beep) for a while after, the device is then correspondingly quieter.
The interior of the cooking chamber is completely lined with polished steel. Its surface is basically easy to clean, visually perfect but you do not get so easily out (if you put it value). Not so great are the cracks between the floor and side walls of the interior as well as on the inside of the door, the more difficult the cleaning, if time runs out something. On the sides there are guided tours for a baking tray, which (in contrast to the previous model) is not, however, included.
The control elements are arranged very clearly and work well, both the sensor keys as well as the round dial with its button in the middle. The placed at the top of the trap door sensor keys have the disadvantage that they are easy to accidentally pressed while the door is open. This problem is not with the previous version, which only has buttons with tactile feedback.
Per Quick Start button (the dial in the middle or on the right) to start the unit at maximum power for 30 seconds. Each additional keystroke increases by 30 seconds, you can finish with the stop button (far left). This type of switching is practically - we use it by far the most. If a more precise setting is required, you can adjust the time by turning the setting wheel in increments of five seconds. The various numbered function programs we rarely use. Practically, I find that you can simply make a manual power adjustment prior to the start (a key operation plus scroll wheel).
The JT 469 SL has some useful function details. They can only be started when the door shortly before (and open) was closed. This prevents it starts running empty, perhaps because a curious child around tapping on the touch keys or you touch it accidentally while cleaning. The interior lighting switches itself off automatically after a while, even if the door remains open. The turntable can be in normal operation by the way do not stop, although there is a button for it.
Conclusion
The JT 469 SL is a trouble-free device that measured at its interior needs a lot of space. Performance and build quality are average for the current street price of just over three hundred Euro. The comments made above, I give an overall limited recommendation and three stars ***.
