But Anders Stratovarius

I was very surprised when I saw on the shelves this album. After the previous two years was not POLARIS back times. After the first listen it became purely a first disillusionment. The big bang was missing. I almost leave this disc, but two things moved me then but to buy: 1. The fact that other STRATOVARIUS discs with me their time needed to please and 2. The really nice and good cover.

Is very noticeable that the mood of the song is usually very depressing. Somehow missing the typical 'I am back feeling frei'- previous albums. But that should be a plus because just this peculiarity makes the album unique. STRATOVARIUS do what would other bands like: Propose a new path, without forgetting the roots. ELYSUM convinced by his willingness to do things differently. Instead of a bombastic blast after another is here new inspiration in the foreground. Almost all songs only know after a few runs to please, but thus remain much longer interesting and give the album a long life, because holding the Abnuzungseffekt the melodies in limits.

I would like to not go into the individual tracks, as this other reviews already do, so right now my conclusion:

ELYSIUM in my opinion is fully STRATOVARIUS. Timo's voice is of course the most recognizable, but also all other members of this class press Album its stamp on. My initial skepticism has vanished into thin air and STRATOVARIUS show again why they are considered for many years as one of my favorite bands. Even the great cover and the elaborate booklet contribute. Here you get something for your money
