I am skeptical about the veracity of this story of a German prisoner of war who escaped in the middle of Siberia (with all perfect material escaped), travels thousands of kilometers on foot mainly, is hosted by Inuit in the bandits in the forest, in a woman, etc. and finally exhausted ... is saved by a Jewish network! The author has obviously experienced some scenes of this book, especially in the mine, but I think the journalist who rewrote behind was forced to fictionalize, although some situations can be drawn from true stories (told or heard) . But this book reads well, no need to quibble too much. For an extraordinary testimony of a German soldier, prefer "The Forgotten Soldier".
