Attention ! Of course this is (again) just not so. On Schnittberichte.com has now been revealed that there is even now censorship when it comes to violence. Tasteless the scene that was deleted? Yes she is. And also negligible. But the packaging text has been so degraded to a lie - and thus customer deception was operated! Does it have to be that way ?
The voice acting is good, though a language mix I like definitely better: To speak in the original version, all characters in their national languages, which of course again authentic acts - if you are there it might even speak, because everything is oversubscribed wonderful mercy: megalomaniacs doctors, super soldier , (well animated) robot dogs and much more. I like also in the "adjusted" version.
The debate whether this kind of censorship may ever be or should I consider justified. I speak not of artistic freedom. But in every movie there is something to look at Youtube, it can be seen walk and add something and every child can see heutzutge pornography or even anti-constitutional symbols online, which I can not approve of and want. In games that are officially sold in Germany but are not. I think in the case of Wolfenstein is not appropriate. This is Wolfenstein, that's satire, a game that is already released at least 18 years and a fictional and not sugarcoated story, but tells a merciless oversubscribed dystopia. This has nothing to do with artistic freedom.
At one point in the game (quite early) we have to decide for themselves who is to kill one of the protagonists. That's penetrate remained in the German sales version strangely - and seems more bitter than any reference to the Third Reich, because here you have to decide yourself active.
To my surprise, The New Order has even been skillfully wove storyline. Will you at all? Well, here it is relatively well told, therefore a welcome addition.
Very nice also the fact that unlike in Call Of Duty and company, the power meter only teilregeneriert, and you can still quite classical as in older shooters with first aid kits, helmets, armor, etc. to supplement its display again.
Now the big BUT: The graphical aspect. I have already mentioned how the xbox one version available, which is identical in content to the PS4 version, also frame rate and resolution are the same this time. Differences are marginal to non-existent.
But Next Gen? No. That's the image to be as good as any time. Everything is naturally dissolved somewhat finer, but a WOW effect failed to materialize, although me the giant robots in the prologue of the game quite impressed, but he does so in the current gene versions.
I understand that not so very: In Aliens: Colonial Marines reported the graphics mostly devastating. That was on XBOX 360, PS3 and PC. Ok, the PS3 version was really a graphic indictment, but the game was able to create a compelling and graphically appealing and alien atmosphere.
And Wolfenstein? It looks OK, but bitching is not almost unanimously. Most players and testers seem to agree that the graphics are compelling to satisfactory. Is it also. But for so "boring" appearance I bought no next gen console. As has finally done the CUT to the old generation of consoles, so that a new graphics engine can finally break new ground.
Acoustically this version is sometimes not always just blended perfectly, a separate regulator for speech and music is not available.
The patch I could install the way not far, has been able to make someone have similar experiences?
As a connoisseur of the previous games also this Wolfenstein satisfied, especially the wrong ideas keep this shooter about the average score. Nevertheless, I forgive only 3 stars: It simply lacks the big WOW, the prologue is not just the most successful entry also, acts also graphically rather modest. Later it will be better, sometimes even great - the hiding place of resistance, for example, is decorated with so much love and Detailverliebheit that you like to just want to walk only minutes through the rooms here.
Therefore, I can only give 3 stars to the present version, especially since censorship leaves a bad aftertaste. Although As can the makers of nothing, yet it affects the feel (albeit only slightly).
Update: Today (5/28/14) I was now "finally" (not 7) provided over 5GB large patch to download. Rumors on the Internet said that the patch is already integrated in the retail version. I can now therefore hereby refute - the German sales replaced him. What it does exactly, even after an intensive search on the Internet only to suspect: AI improvements are listed, others are speaking of new optional features. So strange: As just 5 GB are fat times shoveled onto the plate - and nobody really knows why.
Update: Today (10:06:14) I would like to conclude leave a few additional words again
(Spoiler Warning!): I'm not "in 6 hours I got it completely played out" players, but rather the kind of players who mostly through playing a game, but then just so in between for 30-40 minutes and then is also again good.
Now I have Wolfenstein by - medium difficulty, only a plotline. The differences from the alternative story are vocalizations on the Internet rather marginal.
Well, what else can I write what I do not have anyway been hammered into the keyboard? Perhaps me Wolfenstein - New Order has liked better than Call Of Duty Ghosts. And that it is better for me still much remembered as the Ghost Shooter.
Because Wolfenstein has a story that they even understood - that of Ghosts is just - let's say - boring, dreary told and confused. The Wolfenstein is glorious overexcited, with characters that grow over a story to my heart (both the nasty and the Good) and packed full with amazing ideas. While not at any point, but quite beautiful regularity.
The penultimate robots fight? Clearly inspired by RoboCop 2 - at the end of the brain to tear out of the robot - a successful homage.
And then at the end remained a big question mark: What about Mrs. Engel? The expected boss fight did not materialize (in two acts), and even after the credits there is no scene more with her. If you have forgotten it or is it the new Oberscherge next Wolfenstein?
I am about to be awarded a fourth star. But I leave it in threes: Because
I am the game through was indeed entertain wonderful, but on a 500 (now 400) Euro console from which I expected more. For this, the censorship (despite very good synchro) and one or the other Ungereimheit.
Better than Call Of Duty - but next time please Mrs. Engel in Next Gen.
