Now that you know my respect for his elder and author, you certainly will understand why I hit notes (and against the heart) the new album, which I firmly expected. And that is positioned one (or 2) notch below "Frozen".
Its main through despite a talented writing on Frozen, are:
. The scenario, nearly as solid. The idea is good; there was even a major surprise, I can not reveal, which is mostly an absence of something that everybody expected (maybe for Volume 3, then?). But the story is not as dense as its predecessor and has several diet drops here and there. Moreover, although I bought the book at full price, I have two weeks left lying on the bedside table after 150 pages of reading, reading something else in the meantime.
. The framework has changed. And indirectly the atmosphere. We certainly can not ask the author to always plant a mountain setting, but we have accustomed to an environment creating a real oppression, losing that precious ingredient undeniably night to all. Moreover, in the rare moments when the protagonists of the novel escape from the urban, nervousness immediately returns the reader ... It is a sign. It's back in the mountains (or somewhere cold and isolated), Mr Minier, it was very good!
. The third point is more difficult to discuss, but the story spoiler, here is my complaint: the good hero is face to good enemies. Frozen Servaz stood face a really strong dark side, creepy limit. The Circle contains more either this ingredient.
These 3 points are juxtaposed that what made Glossy a book which it was impossible to take off until the end has partly disappeared from the suite (which can be read independently, by the way), which simply reveals pleasant reading, without the reader tape.
But after reading this tome 2, I have my own idea about what could contain volume 3, which I'll jump right away, and this could be terrible!
