The mobile is quite nice to look at and does the job for our young son thoroughly. Unfortunately I have to agree with all reviewers in terms of the enormous inconvenience of changing batteries, the strange malfunctions at not quite full batteries and the dismantling. The connectors are adventurous, the unit is running at all only if the "head" is pinned in a certain position - must be determined by vibration. Losing weight can no longer be the head, however, since the parts during mating tilt inevitably. The restraint system is not record-breaking. I have my doubts that it is resilient in the long run. Finally, I find the sound quality getting used to (sounds pretty tinny) Conclusion: I can recommend not the device. Nice idea, nice features, poor implementation. From Fisher-Price I would have expected more.
